If it the pieces do not match it names your animal- "a horse-duck, that's silly" It is very cute. The magnets make it east to put the animals in the barn. My daughter was given this toy when she was 9 months old. Kids are rewarded with song whether they are old enough to match or not. At nine months, she could not match the animals, but she could put the pieces in. When a match is correct the toy sings "you made a match." then makes the animal sound. Now, at twelve months, it is more age appropriate for my daughter. She still loves it, it never got boring like so many other toys.
This was a birthday gift for my 1 year old Granddaughter. It is very educational and easy for her to manuever. She loves being able to attach it to the refrigerator and take it off when she wants to.
This is my go-to toy for a first birthday gift. My own son loves it, as do all of the kids we know who also have it. He got it for his first birthday and is still playing with it at 2 years old. Great toy.
My granddaughter loves this toy. It keeps her busy when Mom and Dad are trying to accomplish things in the kitchen. It is a good gift for little ones. Madison is 13 months old and enjoys being able to stand and play.
its great. this toy was a gift for my son on his first birthday and i never thought it would be this great. she doesnt think so but I do. He enjoys the toy daily mixing the front and rears, throwing them, biting on them. BUT the best part about the toy is how it seems to make a pig, horse, and cow noise out of nowhere when my wife walks past it. so this goes down as a must buy for me. Now dont get me wrong, my wife is gorgeous and i love her to death but this is good stuff.
